The River West Christian congregation in Edmonton, Alberta began services in 1987, and formally organized in 1988. Waldo Pauls is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by Lendrum Mennonite Brethren Church.
The congregation was first known as the West Edmonton Mennonite Brethren Church; it changed its name to River West Christian Church in 1997. The congregation moved to its new building in 2004.
In 2015, there were 105 members.
Congregational leads include Art Reimer (1993–2001), Kerry Dyck (2001–2018), Jim Regehr, transition pastor (2019–2020), Tim Sesink (2021– ).
Scope and Content
This fonds consists of PDF copies of the weekly digital newsletter. These documents detail the congregation's ministry priorities and community outreach.
