Administrative History

The Mountain Park congregation in Abbotsford, British Columbia, began services in 1991. They originated through outreach by the BC Conference of Mennonite brethren Churches Board of Church Extension. Herb and Adeline Neufeld are considered the founding leaders of the group.

They occupied their first building in 1995, and in 1996 they had 347 members. Their language of worship is English, and they have been affiliated with the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches since 1991.

In 2000, the Mountain Park Community Church had 325 members.

Those to have led this congregation include Herb Neufeld (1991–1996), Terry Kaethler (1996–2019), Norman Poehlke (2019– ).
