Administrative History
Highland (Mennonite Brethren) Community Church in Abbotsford, British Columbia, began services in 1975 and formally organized in 1976. The first building was occupied in 1980. The congregation originated through outreach by the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
The group was known as Neighborhood Bible Fellowship from 1975 until 1979. In 2010, the congregation had 74 members and an average weekly attendance of 70.
Leading ministers at the church include Kirk Digitale (1976–1985), Dan Stobbe (1986), Roland Balzer (1988–2006), Phil Halvorsen (2006–2007), Andrew Dyck (2007–2011), Chrstine Kampen (2011–2017), Jonathan "J" Janzen (2008– ).
Scope and Content
This fonds consists of the annual meeting report booklet for 2014. These documents detail the congregation's ministry priorities and community outreach.
Custodial History
It is unclear when these records were transferred to the Centre for MB Studies archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
