Administrative History
East Chilliwack Bible School was the last Bible school established in the Canadian Mennonite Brethren constituency. It was located about five miles east of the town of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Gerhard G. Thielmann, leading minister of the local Mennonite Brethren church, was the founder and first president of the school from 1949–1956. From 1956 until its closing in 1959, J.H. Friesen served as principal. The school closed in 1959 due to low enrollment.
