Administrative History
The Parkland Community Church began services in 1983, and formally organized in 1984. The first building was occupied in 1985. John H. Wiens is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach the Saskatchewan Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
Henry Penner served as interim pastor from 2001 to 2003, when Harv Janzen became pastor. Brian Ray became pastor of the church in December 2009.
The last service was January 28, 2024. Once closed, the members dispersed to other congregations.
In 1994 the church had 10 members and in 2010 they had 53 members.

Scope and Content
This fonds consists of a membership register, child dedication and baptism records, leadership meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports. These documents show the formation and life of the church throughout its 40 years.
Custodial History
Records were transferred to the Centre for MB Studies archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in April 2024.
